    Description

Here I offer a nice Guatemala silver 4 reals or bust type pillar half dollar of Ferdin VII minted at NG=New Guatemala after the original city burnt and was re-built miles away. This coin I grade as very fine with nice very light gold and blue silver toning. A light scratch on the kings cheek does not detract much, and it was considered in the price. Listed in the red book with a value of 0 in fine to 0 in VF for a common mint and this one is a much scarcer mint. Legal tender in the United States until at least 1857 and of course used much later. A U.S. half dollar type set is not complete without a silver 4 reals. A very nice colonial coin. See the scans. Free shipping. Paypal, or check.
